Del Wright Jr. is currently serving as the Vinson & Elkins Endowed Professor of Law at LSU Law since July 2024, while simultaneously authoring works on business, policy, and legal issues related to cryptocurrency and blockchain at West Academic. From January 2018 to August 2024, Del Wright held the position of Law Professor and Director of the China Study Abroad Law Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, focusing on Chinese law and legal institutions. Additional roles include a Professorship in Finance, Business, and Tax at the same university, and an Associate Professor at Valparaiso University, where the expertise encompassed tax, finance, and litigation. Previous experience includes service as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice, an Associate at Steptoe & Johnson LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and a Vice Presidency at Banc of America Securities. Del Wright holds multiple degrees, including an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School.
