ROSIE ALLEN-HERRING is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Way of the National Capital Area, Washington, D.C. and has served in that capacity since 2013. She formerly served as Managing Director, Community Investment and Engagement Division, Fannie Mae from 1992 to 2013. Prior to that she served as a Corporate Consumer Banking Officer at Bank of America/Maryland, Washington, D.C. She also formerly served as a Director of Old Line Bank and currently serves as a member of Mid-Atlantic Advisory Board for Wesbanco Bank, Inc. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Medstar Health, Inc., Greater Washington Board of Trade and various other organizations.

She is a graduate of Howard University with a B.A. in Economics and holds an M.B.A. (with honors) from Strayer University and was an International Fellow at the University of Cape Town (SA) Graduate School of Business and Duke University Graduate School of Public Policy. She has served as an adjunct Guest Lecturer, University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership since 2014, and a Guest Lecturer at the American University, Kogod School of Business and also formerly served as a Guest Lecturer at Howard University, College of Arts & Sciences Political Science. Given her experience, demonstrated leadership, management of a $50 Million organization, as well as multi-Billion dollar portfolios, corporate finance and equity investment background, the Board believes she is imminently qualified to serve on the Board of Directors of the Corporation.
