Douglas Bertelsen has a Bachelor's degree and two Master's degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Botany/Plant Biology and Computer Science. Douglas has worked as a Science Teacher at Gretna Public Schools, Computer Science Tutoring Center Director at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Werner Enterprises. In their current role, Douglas is responsible for building modern software systems to support the company's digital transformation. At the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Douglas launched and maintained a computer science-focused tutoring center, developing a department-wide tutoring program.
