Xingze Mao has extensive experience in the field of research and technology. They started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University from September 2014 to May 2015. Following that, they joined the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) in September 2015 as a Research Assistant. At FRIB, Xingze developed C++ code for simulating atomic anion systems, conducted calculations on high-performance computing clusters, and created Python scripts for automating tasks and generating scientific figures.
In 2020, Xingze joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. During their time there, they contributed to the development and application of a nuclear contraction library for different GPU platforms. Xingze also developed Fortran code following object-oriented principles and wrote comprehensive documentation for the code's functionalities.
Currently, Xingze works as a Software Engineer at WePay, a position they started in August 2021.
Xingze Mao's education history begins in 2010 when they enrolled at Lanzhou University. Xingze pursued a degree in physics and completed their studies in 2014. Following this, Mao attended Michigan State University from 2014 to 2019, where they pursued a dual Doctor of Philosophy degree. Xingze'sfirst specialization was in theoretical nuclear physics, while their second specialization was in computational mathematics science and engineering. Mao successfully completed their PhD program at Michigan State University.
