Javier Gutiérrez has extensive work experience in the language industry. Javier started their career as a Freelance Translator, working independently for various companies from 1995 to 2010. In 1996, they joined International Translation & Publishing as a Senior Translator and Language Coordinator, where they were responsible for training and coordinating project managers, as well as planning and tracking software localization projects. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Content Manager for e-shop Diversia.com at Ecuality E-Commerce and Quality. Javier then joined Bowne Global Solutions as a Global Project Manager, where they handled project planning, resource management, budget control, and quality assurance. In 2002, they briefly worked as a Technical Translation Instructor/Lecturer at Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio. From 2006 to 2006, they worked as a Teacher of Spanish as a foreign language at Academia Mester. In 2011, they joined Welocalize, initially as a Global Language Coordinator and later took on roles as Language Program Architect, Regional Language Quality Manager, Language Quality Manager, and most recently, Quality Solutions Lead.

Javier Gutiérrez obtained a B.A. in Translation and Interpretation from the Universidad de Granada from 1995 to 2000. Javier later pursued a Master's degree in the Teaching of Spanish as a foreign language from the same university, completing it from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Javier has also obtained several certifications in various fields such as data analysis, Python, large language models, Microsoft 365 Copilot, understanding bias in AI, and generative AI from institutions like LinkedIn and Google in 2023.
