Jonathan Wen began their work experience in 2001 as a Business Associate at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Jonathan then moved on to GE Capital Mortgage Insurance, where they served as an Underwriter from 2003 to 2005 and as a Financial Analyst in 2006. From 2008 to 2012, Jonathan worked at GE Capital Real Estate as an Analyst and later as a Business Intelligence Analyst. In 2012, they joined Chartwell Retirement Residences as a Senior Manager of Real Estate Finance and then progressed to Vice President of Real Estate Finance in 2014. Jonathan held this position until 2016 when they became Vice President of Real Estate Finance and Investments. Currently, Jonathan Wen is the Vice President of Investments - Canada at Welltower Inc.

Jonathan Wen earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in 1999-2003. Following this, they pursued an MBA at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 2005-2007.
