Noah Gettle

Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Wellcome Sanger Institute

Noah Gettle is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at the Wellcome Sanger Institute since April 2022, following a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stockholm University from October 2019 to April 2022. Prior to these positions, Noah was a PhD student at the University of Minnesota from August 2013 to August 2019, focusing on the interplay between multicellular developmental systems and evolutionary processes through the study of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Additional experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota and teaching algebra as part of a summer program at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. Noah also worked as an Assistant Academic Intervention Specialist and an AmeriCorps Volunteer, providing educational support to at-risk students. Noah holds a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Biology from Earlham College.
