Sérgio Viana

AVP Outreach And Enrollment Sales at WelbeHealth

Sérgio Viana has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on sales, outreach, and enrollment operations.

Sérgio is currently working at WelbeHealth as the AVP Outreach and Enrollment (Sales), where they oversee the referral management center, broker relations, sales operations and compliance oversight, and sales and enrollment training teams. Sérgio also partners with the launch team to open new markets and oversees five directors and their teams.

Prior to WelbeHealth, Sérgio worked at Devoted Health as the Head of National Medicare Telesales. In this role, they launched and led a Medicare Advantage Telesales team, growing it from 2 to over 60 agents. Sérgio also built a culture of service and relationship-oriented sales and established strong relationships with market-based sales leaders.

Before that, Sérgio was the Manager of Market Development Medicare HMO, D-SNP at Commonwealth Care Alliance. Sérgio led field and inside sales teams and was responsible for significant membership growth, increasing it from 5,000 to over 40,000 in 5 years. Sérgio also devised provider-based and community-based sales and outreach strategies.

Sérgio also has experience at Fallon Health as the Manager of Sales and Outreach Medicare Advantage. Sérgio built and led a sales team in new Eastern Massachusetts markets, and also played a key role in growing a new D-SNP/SCO plan by over 2,000 members in the first year. Sérgio conducted market research to identify new opportunity markets and competitors' positions.

At UnitedHealth Group, Sérgio worked as a Senior Sales and Account Manager. Sérgio fostered and managed relationships with key providers, community leaders, influencers, and prospect members. Sérgio also developed and implemented a territory development plan to meet or exceed sales targets.

Earlier in their career, Sérgio served as a Senior Outreach Coordinator/Team Leader at AllWays Health Partners/Former Neighborhood Health Plan. Sérgio supervised a community outreach team and was responsible for increasing awareness and overall membership of Medicaid and Connector Programs. The health plan achieved an unprecedented membership of 38,000 new members after the first year of community outreach.

Sérgio Viana obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing from Northeastern University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued further education at Boston University, completing their Master's Degree in Business Administration in Innovation and Technology from 2011 to 2015.
