Teija Autio has work experience spanning different roles and companies. Teija started their career at Barona Hoiva Oy as an Employee/palvelukeskustyöntekijä from October 2010 to February 2012. Teija then worked at Raha-automaattiyhdistys, RAY as a Casino Dealer/pelinhoitaja from February 2012 to June 2013. Teija joined Taloudellinen tiedotustoimisto TAT as a Vastuuohjaaja/Instructor from September 2016 to April 2017. Teija continued their career at Outotec as a Summer Trainee from May 2017 to September 2017 and later as a Master's thesis worker from September 2017 to December 2017. Teija is currently employed at Welado, where they have held multiple roles, including Project Assistant/Project engineer/-assistant from May 2018 to the present, Project Engineer from May 2021 to the present, and currently as a Project Manager starting from August 2022.

Teija Autio earned a Master's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from LUT University, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Engineer's Degree in Natural Resources and the Environment Degree Programme in Forestry Silviculture at Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.
