Robert Kleist has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Robert started their career at Sharp Winkelhorn A/S as a Maintenance Engineer in 1995 before joining the Danish Navy as an Overkonstabel from 1996 to 1999. Robert then transitioned to the role of Regional Sales Manager at Kelvin Hughes A/S, where they were responsible for sales in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, focusing on integrated navigation systems for commercial and military vessels.
In 2007, Robert become the Director of Sales, Asia at Terma A/S, where they oversaw the Asian office, managing project sales, business development, and technical consultancy for Terma's Ground-based Radar System Division. After three years, they joined Kelvin Hughes as the Director of Shore Based Systems, responsible for the company's surveillance business globally. Robert managed staff, handled project sales, conducted business development and technical consultancy, and provided staff training.
Moving forward, in 2012, Robert assumed the role of Director, Surveillance Business Asia at Kelvin Hughes, overseeing the APAC government sector. Their responsibilities included general management of the surveillance business staff, project sales, business development, technical consultancy, and general marketing in the Pan Pacific Region.
In 2015, they joined ProTelevision Technologies as the Chief Commercial Officer, where they took charge of sales and sales management, commercial and marketing activities globally. Robert focused on business development, implemented new market strategies, evaluated existing sales channels, and monitored established channels.
Robert then moved to Kelvin Hughes (A Hensoldt Company) in 2017 as the Director VTS/CSS Systems, responsible for Kelvin Hughes Shore Based Systems globally. Their role involved project sales, business development, technical consultancy, staff training, and overall management of Kelvin Hughes' shore-based systems.
Most recently, Robert has been working at Weibel Scientific since 2018, initially as the Market Manager before being promoted to Head of Surveillance Systems R&D in February 2021.
From 1990 to 1995, Robert Kleist attended the Engineering College of Copenhagen, though no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
