Kyle Robinson took over the cross country programs in July of 2022.
Robinson came to Webster University from Brescia (Ky.) University in Owensboro, Kentucky, where he served as an Assistant Coach and Assistant Sports Information Director since 2019. As an assistant coach, Robinson recruited high school juniors and seniors, developed the mental strength in his athletes, coordinated weekly strength and conditioning exercises, set up cross country course for home meets, raised awareness of the team within the community, engaged the team in community service projects, and maintained a working knowledge of all campus policies. In addition, he holds a USA Track and Field Level 1 Coaching Certification.
Robinson also served as the Assistant Sports Information Director for the Brescia University Athletic Department. He covered all of Brescia's athletic programs, uploaded photo galleries of Brescia home events, regularly updated Brescia's Spotlight Athlete, updated and maintained program's rosters and schedules, updated Brescia Athletics social media pages, and researched methods to improve visits to the website and enhance engagement.
In addition to his contributions in athletics, Robinson also brings volunteer experience to Webster Athletics. In 2016, Robinson taught elementary students life lessons through the Junior Achievement program. He has also led and organized three different volunteer campaigns including a Shoe Drive in 2019 where he collected gently used shoes for Haiti, a Cleaning Drive in 2019 that he collected gently used apparel to donate to the Salvation Army, and a Letter Writing Campaign in 2020 that people wrote supportive letters to residents at the Owensboro Center.
Robinson graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brescia University in 2019. He then went on to receive his Masters of Science in Management from Brescia in 2021. He served as the Brescia University Track and Field/Cross Country team captain from 2015-2019 and was an NAIA Cross Country National Championship Qualifier in 2018. He was named the River State Conference Bill Melton Champion of Character Award recipient in 2018 and won the Larry W. Hager, Jr. Award for Outstanding Students Demonstrating Service Above Self in 2019.
