Ben Tillyer currently serves as the Head of Digital Accessibility at the University of Oxford, where responsibilities include defining a digital accessibility strategy and developing a sustainable delivery roadmap. Ben has been an active member of the W3C, participating in the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group since January 2021, contributing to the development of WCAG 2.2 and WCAG 3. Ben co-founded A11y North in May 2024 and previously held the role of Digital Accessibility Manager at HSBC, leading accessibility initiatives for global internal systems. In earlier positions at TPGi and HSBC, Ben conducted accessibility audits, provided training on assistive technologies, and contributed to global standards and guidelines. Ben's experience includes working as an Accessibility Consultant at Blazie and in customer claims response at Direct Line Group.
