Yi Ying Tseng has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. In 2013, they started as a Teaching Intern at the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE). Then, in 2013, they worked as a Marketing Intern at Journeys Heritage Tours. In 2015, they served as a Field Studies Researcher at the National University of Singapore. From 2016 to 2016, they interned as an Integrated Marketing Intern at Pivot Marketing, where they assisted with PR and communications pitches and social media marketing. In 2017, they worked as a Communications and Branding professional at Lazada Group. Yi Ying then joined Huntington Communications as a Corporate Communications Associate from 2017 to 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, first as a Communication and Public Affairs Executive and later as a Specialist in Communication and Public Affairs in the Asia Pacific region. Most recently, they served as an Account Manager - Health at Sandpiper Communications from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are working at Weber Shandwick as an Account Manager - Health.

Yi Ying Tseng's education history begins in 2013 when they enrolled in the National University of Singapore. Yi Ying pursued a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) degree with a focus on Geography. During their time at the university, they participated in the NUS Overseas Colleges program in Shanghai, Batch 25, from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, they attended Fudan University in 2016 to study Business/Commerce, General. In the same year, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from NUS Overseas Colleges.

In terms of additional certifications, Yi Ying Tseng completed the "Strategic Business Storytelling" course at the British Council in September 2020. Yi Ying also obtained "The Complete SQL Bootcamp: Go from Zero to Hero" certification from Udemy in August 2017.
