In 1987, they started their undergraduate studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they obtained a B Sc degree in Management Sciences in 1990. Continuing their education at LSE, Hin-Yan went on to earn an M Sc (Econ) degree in Operational Research and Information Systems from 1990 to 1991. Hin-Yan then pursued a PhD from 1991 to 1996 at LSE, specializing in Strategic Planning and Decision Making. In 2018 to 2019, they further enhanced their skill set by completing a Nanodegree program in Deep Learning offered by Udacity.
