Mateen Memon is an Associate in the Financial Regulatory team at Webber Wentzel, providing advisory services to insurers, banks, and financial services providers on financial regulation since June 2023. Previously, Mateen worked as an Associate at Carey Olsen, focusing on corporate and M&A matters with an emphasis on financial regulation. Mateen also served as an Associate Attorney at Webber Wentzel, advising on financial regulation from June 2021 to June 2022, and worked as a Legal Consultant at Advaya Consulting, where responsibilities included drafting commercial contracts and advising on internal policies. Prior experience includes roles at Hogan Lovells, both as an Associate and a Candidate Attorney specializing in Competition and Antitrust, as well as earlier positions at the University of the Free State and other law firms. Mateen holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of the Free State and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws in Business and Commercial Law at the University of the Witwatersrand.
