Karissa Govender currently serves as the Lead of Talent Management and Organisational Effectiveness at Webber Wentzel since May 2021. Prior to this role, Karissa worked as a Director and Organisational Psychologist at Red Robin Consulting from March 2020 to April 2021. Between May 2018 and February 2020, Karissa was the Head of Talent and Transformation at Rand Merchant Bank. Karissa's extensive experience in human capital includes serving as Associate Director and Africa Head of Talent at PwC South Africa from January 2011 to April 2018, as well as Senior Manager in National Human Capital. Earlier in the career, Karissa held the position of Portfolio Head at the Global Leadership Centre at Standard Bank Group from September 2008 to December 2010. Karissa's academic background includes a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Cape Town, obtained between 2000 and 2003, and a Matric certificate from Carmel College, earned from 1991 to 1993.
