Wealthfront is looking for a junior FP&A Analyst, who will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance. This role is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow, driven by a collaborative spirit, and constantly seeking learning opportunities.

Finance and Accounting at Wealthfront Wealthfront’s Finance and Accounting team operates cross-functionally, collaborating with multiple departments across the company. The team understands the value they bring to our mission of building a financial system that favors people and not institutions, because every business area feels the impact of their work. Whether it’s engineering, marketing, legal, compliance, people operations, etc., our Finance and Accounting team plays an important role in strategically informing their decisions. 

We’re a remote-first team and open to candidates in the US.

Key responsibilities

Close/Reporting  -Manage the scheduling, planning, and preparation of the monthly Close. -Assist with the monthly review of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flow (direct & indirect) by preparing variance reports and forecasts. -Proactively identify, develop, and implement enhancements to existing reporting and business processes.

Budgeting/Planning  -Leverage insights from the month-end close and other projects to improve the quality of Wealthfront’s operating and financial models. -Assist in maintaining Wealthfront’s consolidated corporate financial model with other Finance team members.

Analysis  -Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial presentations. -Refine systems, modeling tools, and techniques to support business growth and seek out process improvement opportunities. -Perform ad hoc analyses that drive strategic business decisions. Analyze data and financial and business metrics used by the company and senior management.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an FP&A role or similar quantitative role.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong proficiency in financial modeling and enterprise accounting software (e.g., Netsuite). Database experience (e.g., SQL) a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter who regularly takes initiative and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating creativity and judgment while prioritizing appropriately to meet tight deadlines.
  • A proven ability to problem solve and proactively address issues in a professional and effective manner.
  • Takes pride in meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations on quality of output.
  • Relentless attention to detail with the ability to calibrate communications to the level of detail appropriate to the situation and audience.
  • Unquestionable ethics. High standard for integrity required for exposure to confidential company performance, legal contracts, and employee information.
