Anne Rhodes has a diverse work experience in various legal roles and educational positions. Anne currently works as a Member at Chief since May 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Wealth starting in October 2021. In this role, they led a team of attorneys and paralegals, developed tools for estate planning, advised on product features, and taught estate planning concepts.
Before joining Wealth, Anne worked as an Attorney at Perkins Coie LLP from March 2019 until October 2021, where they specialized in wealth transfer and tax planning strategies for high net worth individuals. Anne also drafted estate planning documents and expanded the firm's U.S. taxation practice.
Previous to Perkins Coie LLP, Anne worked as an Attorney at McDermott Will & Emery LLP from April 2018 to February 2019, focusing on drafting estate planning documents and optimizing tax and asset protection objectives.
Anne started their legal career as an Attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from September 2015 to March 2018, specializing in U.S. taxation.
Anne gained early legal experience as a Summer Associate at Sidley Austin LLP in May 2014, where they worked on various projects in different legal practices, including tax and complex commercial litigation.
Anne also had non-legal work experience as a Summer Intern at the U.S. Department of Education in May 2013 and as an Admissions Officer at Georgetown University from July 2011 to June 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Mathematics Teacher and Indoor Track Coach at Peddie School from July 2009 to June 2011.
Throughout their career, Anne has developed expertise in estate planning, tax law, and legal research, and has demonstrated strong leadership and teaching abilities.
Anne Rhodes obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Columbia Law School. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History at Yale University. Additionally, they have been admitted to both the California Bar by the State Bar of California and the New York Bar by the New York State Bar Association.
