Kristy Sakai is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in localization and marketing. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at WE ARE VERY since November 2016, Kristy also plays a vital role as the Los Angeles Chapter Manager and Membership Manager at Women in Localization, a community initiative co-founded in 2019 to empower women in the localization industry. Previously, Kristy held the position of CEO of Supertext Creative, where responsibilities included leading creative localization efforts. Earlier career highlights include serving as Language Manager, managing translation projects and teams, and working in international marketing and project management at ADAPT GmbH for several high-profile German brands. Kristy's early career began with freelance roles in copywriting and translation and an internship in international marketing at BMG Music. Kristy holds a BSc in Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science and has a solid educational background from St George's School, Harpenden.
