Heather Shank-Givens is an experienced instructional designer and training specialist currently serving at We Are Sharing Hope SC since October 2017. In this role, Heather implemented a comprehensive clinical training program and established a core training curriculum focused on organ and tissue donation. Previous experience includes serving as a Tissue Recovery Technician at Washington Regional Transplant Community and working as a training and policy development consultant. Heather also held the position of Manager of Training and Professional Development at Washington Regional Transplant Community, overseeing training programs and staff development. Earlier in career, Heather worked as an Environmental Protection Specialist at the US Environmental Protection Agency, managing drinking water regulations and project oversight. Heather holds a Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology from George Mason University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology with honors from Oberlin College.
