Michael Tian is a seasoned portfolio manager at WCM Investment Management, where responsibilities include managing the WCM Focused Emerging Markets Growth, WCM China Quality Growth, and WCM Global Long/Short portfolios since September 2012. Previously, Michael held the position of equity analyst, acting as a global generalist business analyst and refining investment strategies focused on moat trajectory and corporate culture. Before joining WCM, Michael worked at Morningstar from July 2006 to September 2012, where roles included equity analyst in the natural resources sector, editor of the Morningstar Opportunistic Investor, and spearheading the Morningstar Moat Trend rating framework. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2006.
