Mary Chapman Corning has extensive experience in the field of workers' compensation law, currently serving as Managing Counsel at the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB) since February 2016, after progressing through various roles including Lead Counsel, Senior Counsel, and Counsel. Prior to this, Mary held positions as a Contract Administrator at Niscayah and as a Legal Editor at LAWROOM.COM. Additionally, Mary worked as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney for both the State Compensation Insurance Fund and Karasoff & Associates. Early in the career, Mary served as a Staff Attorney for the US Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges. Academically, Mary earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Santa Clara University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Microbiology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
