Andrés Rivas is a seasoned sports media professional with extensive experience in production, data analysis, and content creation. Currently serving as Producer in Residence at WBIR-TV since June 2023, Rivas has also worked as a Content Creator at The Sports Hit List since October 2017, where a weekly sports show is hosted and produced. Previous roles include Data Analyst at The Athletic, where Rivas utilized Microsoft Excel for data analysis, and Video Editor at Bettor Sports Network. Rivas has a solid background as a Production Operator at ESPN3, overseeing camera and audio operations, and as a Retail Sales Manager at CVS Pharmacy. Experience as a Sports Anchor for the Long Island Road Warriors involved traveling for game coverage and logistical support, while writing for the Long Island Advance focused on high school sports. Rivas holds a Master’s degree from Iona University, a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Stony Brook University, and an Associate's degree in Journalism from Suffolk County Community College.
