Sarah Darby has extensive work experience in the field of data analysis and audience insights. Sarah is currently working as the Director of Audience Insights at Chicago Public Media since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Analyst at The Washington Post from March 2022 to April 2023. Sarah also worked at NPR, where they held the positions of Senior Digital Analyst from April 2021 to March 2022, and Digital Analyst from October 2018 to April 2021. Sarah has also served as an Investment committee member at Reynolds Journalism Institute from May 2017 to January 2020. Sarah has experience in audience engagement analysis as an Audience Engagement Analyst at KCTS 9, Cascade Public Media from June 2017 to September 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Co Organizer at ONA Seattle from May 2017 to September 2018, and as a Publisher Success Manager at LION Digital Media from August 2016 to April 2017.

Sarah Darby completed their Bachelor of Journalism degree with a minor in entrepreneurship at the Missouri School of Journalism from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Sarah has obtained several certifications, including the Python for Everybody Specialization from Coursera in November 2022, the Statistics with R Specialization from Coursera in July 2019, and various courses in big data analysis and visualization from Coursera in January 2019.
