Carolien de Bruin currently serves as the Senior Director of Equity Action at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development since September 2023 and is a member of SER Topvrouwen, an initiative by the Dutch Social and Economic Council aimed at enhancing female representation in executive roles. Carolien is also active in the Systems Change Research Working Group at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Prior to these roles, Carolien founded and served as CEO of C-Change and held senior advisory positions at the World Economic Forum, focusing on social entrepreneurship and COVID response initiatives. Additional experience includes serving on the Supervisory Board of Arvella Investments and being a founding team member of Women Led 2030. Carolien co-facilitated the Dutch SDG Investing Agenda and was the Acting COO at Bertha Centre for Social Innovation. An education background includes an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute, and various executive courses on sustainability and leadership from prestigious institutions including MIT and Capital Institute.
