Tony Thornton is an experienced traffic reporter currently employed at WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5 since October 2021. Prior to this role, Tony served as a Traffic & News Anchor/Producer at iHeartMedia, Inc. from March 2014 to October 2021, where responsibilities included producing and voicing traffic reports for local and regional stations including Sirius XM. Additional experience includes news and traffic anchoring at Radio One, broadcasting local high school basketball games for SFM Sports.Net, providing play-by-play and color commentary for Johns Hopkins Athletics, and co-hosting a sports talk show on Radio BIM. Tony's professional background also includes a significant tenure at Bank of America as an Assistant Vice President/Underwriting Manager from March 1999 to August 2013. Tony holds a degree in Radio/TV Broadcasting (Sports) and Broadcast Journalism from the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland, completed in 2014.
