Carolyn P. Hafner, CIA, CRMA, CBA, has extensive experience in human resources and auditing, currently serving as the Associate Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Wayne State University since October 1994, where responsibilities include overseeing payroll, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and HR analytics. Prior roles at Wayne State include Associate Vice President & Chief Audit Executive, where transformation of the Office of Internal Audit was achieved, and Adjunct Professor of Auditing. Carolyn's earlier career includes positions as Audit Officer at Comerica Bank, where internal audits were performed in multiple lending areas, and Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co., supervising financial audit teams for diverse industries. Carolyn began in accounting with internships at General Motors and Citizens Bank. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and completion of the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University.
