Henning Hohnhold is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in quantitative analysis and data problem-solving. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Data Science at Waymo since January 2018, Henning leads the Data Science team focused on advancements in self-driving technology. Prior to this role, Henning held various positions at Google from April 2011 to January 2018, including Director of Data Science and Senior Staff Data Scientist, focusing on Ads Metrics for Google Search Ads. Earlier experience includes work as a Staff Quantitative Analyst at the Federal Statistical Office in Germany and roles in academic research and teaching at UC San Diego. Henning earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from UC San Diego, supplemented by studies at prestigious institutions such as UC Berkeley and Heidelberg University.
