Erik Kymäläinen is a versatile professional currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Lifeline Ventures since June 2024 and as a Board Member and CEO at Wave Ventures since February 2021. At Wave Ventures, Erik has overseen the successful fundraising for Wave II, Europe's largest student-run fund, and has contributed to making the organization the most active venture capital firm in Finland. Previous roles include Investment Manager at Wave Ventures, Board Observer at Ambio, and internships at McKinsey & Company and August Associates. Erik has a strong background in digital transformation, strategic analysis, and software development. Academically, Erik Kymäläinen holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Aalto University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Helsinki, and a Ylioppilastutkinto from Etelä-Tapiolan lukio.
