Mia Tatum-Crider serves as a Secondary Mental Health Specialist for the Wauwatosa School District since July 2022, following a role as a Professional School Counselor in the Glendale-River Hills School District from June 2017 to July 2022, and as a High School Counselor at Rufus King International Baccalaureate High School within the Milwaukee Public Schools from August 2012 to May 2017. Tatum-Crider's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from Hampton University, a Master's in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education and a Master of Science in Educational Counseling from Concordia University-Wisconsin, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Teaching and Health Education from Ball State University.
