Koen Olieslagers started working in 2008 as a Monitor for BoardX. Koen held this position until 2018. In 2015, they joined Green Events Nederland as a Sustainability Coordinator, a role they held until 2017. In 2016, Koen founded Wattsun pop-up power and continues to work there.

Koen Olieslagers received their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Product Design from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) between 2011 and 2015.
