Mike Skene has extensive experience in leadership and governance across various sectors. Currently serving as Director at Quw'utsun Kw'atl'kwa Enterprises Ltd since December 2019, Mike oversees a commercial fishing firm in partnership with Cowichan Tribes. As Director and Principal at Watt Consulting Group from March 2014, Mike leads a technical team, focusing on corporate governance. Mike has held board positions at Chemainus Theatre since January 2009, contributing to the community through this unique cultural institution. Previous roles include Executive Committee Member of the Transportation Association of Canada and Chair of the Technical Liaison Committee for the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers. Additionally, Mike served as President of Se'Shen Youth Development Society, promoting opportunities for at-risk youth. Mike was also the Owner of Boulevard Transportation Group LTD, a consulting firm in transportation engineering, and has a history of management roles at the City of Victoria from 1987 to 1999. Mike studied at Mohawk College from 1978 to 1980.
