Stefan Weijers holds extensive experience in wastewater management and policy innovation, currently serving as Manager and Manager of Policy and Innovation for Wastewater at Waterschap De Dommel since January 2004. Previously, Stefan was a Strategic Policy Advisor at GTD Oost-Brabant and a Senior Advisor in Knowledge and Product Development. Earlier in their career, Stefan was an Assistant Professor in the Systems and Control Group at Eindhoven University of Technology, focusing on Modeling and Model Predictive Control of Wastewater Treatment Plants. Stefan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Process Engineering and Control Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research.
