Kees-Jan Groen is an experienced finance and administration professional, currently serving as the Director of Finance, Control & Administration at Universiteit Utrecht since September 2022. Groen also contributes to the Netherlands School of Public & Occupational Health as a member of the Supervisory Board and to Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht as a member of the Audit Committee. As the owner of GreenWorkz/GreenIdeaz since March 2009, Groen has a strong entrepreneurial background. Previous roles include Director of Business Administration & Control at De Haagse Hogeschool, where responsible for operational management from May 2019 to September 2022, and various leadership positions in municipal audit committees across several municipalities. Groen holds multiple master’s degrees in business administration, human resource management, and finance and control from prominent institutions, including Erasmus University Rotterdam and TIAS School for Business and Society.
