Tara Ridd has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Tara started their career as an America Reads Tutor at Southern Utah University in 2015. Tara then worked as an Auto Claims Adjuster at United Insurance Group Agency, Inc. from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Tara joined Kelly Educational Staffing as a Substitute Teacher for a brief period. Later that year, they joined Waterford.org as a Family Education Liason, where they coached families on utilizing early learning technology and resources. Tara also served as the Waterford Upstart Events Lead, establishing and maintaining team policies and managing staff and interns. Tara then progressed to become an Associate Program Manager, responsible for planning and executing technical and non-technical programs. Tara excelled in this role, applying change, risk, resource, and schedule management techniques to deliver positive outcomes. Tara then transitioned to a Lead Program Manager role, where they managed and mentored a team in program development and execution. Tara also established organizational process assets and developed reporting to share work performance information with stakeholders. Most recently, Tara has served as the Director of Program Management and Senior Director of Program Operations at Waterford.org. In these roles, they have worked alongside executives and department leaders to establish efficient processes and ensure alignment of programs and projects with organization goals.
Tara Ridd obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Southern Utah University in 2016. In 2014, they also received a certificate in Russian Language & History from Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod (LUNN). Tara later pursued a Masters of Business Administration degree with a focus on Leadership and Project Management at Southern Utah University from 2023 to 2025. Additionally, Tara obtained additional certifications in Digital Transformation - Product Operations from Udemy, Leading Teams: Developing as a Leader from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign|Coursera, and the Google Project Management Certificate from Google.
