Steve Valdes-Robles serves as General Counsel at WaterEquity since March 2024 and is an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School, where lectures focus on impact investing. Prior to these roles, Steve was a Senior Attorney at The Nature Conservancy from February 2019 to February 2024, specializing in impact investments. Steve's extensive experience includes serving as a Regional Legal & Ethics Officer for USAID in various international locations from 2010 to 2019, and as an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP from 2005 to 2010, with rotations in major cities such as Hong Kong, Moscow, and Frankfurt. The legal career began as an International Attorney at Barros Letelier Gonzalez y Compania Limitada in 2005, following a tenure as a Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Steve Valdes-Robles earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) cum laude in History and German from the University of Notre Dame.
