William Garrood has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting from September 2000 to October 2005. William then moved on to Ofcom where they worked as a Manager, Strategy Development from November 2005 to May 2008. Following that, they joined BBC as the Head of Strategy from June 2008 to February 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Strategy and Transformation Director at WaterAid since October 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of Global Strategic Planning and Performance at WaterAid from February 2016 to November 2021.
William Garrood began their education journey at the University of Oxford in 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History until the year 2000. William then proceeded to further their studies at the same university in the field of Byzantine Studies, obtaining a Master of Studies degree in 2004. Afterward, William went on to attend King's College London from 2008 to 2017, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Classics and Digital Humanities.
