Gabriel Fernandez Ubiergo has had a long and varied career in the technology and media sectors. Gabriel began their career in 1993 as a Research Assistant at EPFL and a Scientific Collaborator at the University of Lausanne. In 1995, they were a Visiting Researcher at UC Santa Cruz. In 1997, they began working at La Salle BCN, where they held several managing positions and was a Professor. In 2012, they became CTO at both Medialab Barcelona and dualStream, where they led technically and advised customers on the most appropriate technical trends. In 2015, they became CTO at Watchity.

Gabriel Fernandez Ubiergo obtained their PhD in Communication Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 1993 and 1997. Gabriel also earned an Engineer degree in Telecommunications from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 1987 and 1992.
