Gabriel Schine is a highly experienced technology professional with a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Watch Duty and Technical Lead for Smoke Point, Gabriel focuses on developing applications that assist firefighters in managing wildfires. With an extensive tenure at Google from 2009 to 2024, Gabriel held multiple positions including Tech Lead for Fuchsia and the Google Research team, contributing significantly to next-generation application architectures and human-computer interaction systems. Previous experiences include leading cloud infrastructure at TiVo, developing semantic engine projects at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and serving as a firefighter and board member for La Honda Fire Brigade. Gabriel holds a BA in Complex Systems Theory from Kenyon College.
