Taylor Zehren

Taylor Zehren's work experience starts in 2013 as a NOYCE Intern at Saturday Academy. From 2013 to 2016, Taylor also worked as a Biology Tutor and Studies Abroad Student Coordinator at the University of Portland. In 2015, Taylor became a Murdock Undergraduate Research Scholar at OHSU, where they conducted research on the developmental origins of health and disease.

In 2017, Taylor worked as a Fulbright Scholar, performing an English Teaching Assistantship and assisting in research projects at Lenguas Vivas, Colegio Secundario Qmark, and the Garibaldi Lab at the Universidad de Rio Negro.

From 2017 to 2018, Taylor worked as a Science Teacher and English as a Second Language Teacher at Fundación QMark.

In 2019, Taylor co-founded Do Good Sh*t, a nonprofit focused on implementing waste management systems in outdoor recreation areas. Taylor served as the Co-Founder and Executive Director.

In 2020, Taylor co-founded wasted*, where they currently work as the Co-Founder and COO.

Taylor Zehren has an extensive education history. In 2022, they completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a specialization in Global Health & Environment at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2016, Taylor earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Biology from the University of Portland. During their undergraduate studies, they also had the opportunity to study Spanish at the Universidad de Granada in 2013. Taylor completed their high school education at Ashland High School from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their academic degrees, Taylor has obtained several certifications. In March 2021, they received the AIARE 1 certification from the American Avalanche Association. In May 2016, they completed the Leadership Certification Program at the University of Portland. Furthermore, in June 2019, Taylor acquired both the Wilderness First Responder certification and the Advanced First Aid & CPR certification from SIERRA RESCUE INCORPORATED.
