Jennifer K Grasso serves as an Outdoor Programs Instructor/Guide at REI, specializing in leading various outdoor excursions and education with a focus on safety and environmental consciousness. In addition, Jennifer is an Outdoor Leadership Training Workshop Instructor for Washington Trails Association and an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Puget Sound, where curriculum development and instruction in advanced backpacking and mountaineering are primary responsibilities. Jennifer has extensive experience as a Wilderness Instructor for the YMCA of Greater Seattle, fostering youth engagement in nature and environmental stewardship. With a background in public health, Jennifer has worked as an Outreach and Education Specialist at the University of Washington, managing community engagement and educational initiatives, and has held various roles at Global Brigades, Inc., focusing on health education and program management. Jennifer holds a Master of Public Health from Yale School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts from New York University, supplemented by outdoor education training from NOLS.
