Senior Director, Facilities Maintenance at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority

Dwayne Lloyd, CEM, EIT has a strong background in facilities management, project management, and process improvement. Dwayne has held various roles at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), including Senior Director of Facilities Maintenance, Director of Office of Plant Maintenance, Assistant Director of Office of Plant Maintenance, Superintendent of Office of Elevators and Escalators, and Manager of Special Projects. In these positions, they demonstrated strategic and technical leadership, focusing on areas such as safety, planning, reliability, program/project management, and financial acumen. Prior to WMATA, Dwayne worked as a Senior Project Manager at GSA and as a Process Improvement Consultant at Shire Pharmaceuticals. Dwayne also has experience as a Production Engineer at the Jamaica Business Development Corporation, where they managed manufacturing projects teams and implemented quality management systems. Overall, Dwayne has a diverse range of skills and knowledge in various areas of engineering and management.

Dwayne Lloyd, CEM, EIT has a Master's degree in Engineering Management from The George Washington University. Dwayne also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University and has studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology, Jamaica. In addition to their degrees, Dwayne has obtained certifications including EIT from the Maryland Board of Professional Engineers, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers, and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University.
