Allison Adam has held various human resources positions throughout their career. Allison began as the Human Resources Manager at Prospect Foundry in 2001 and stayed there until 2009. From 2009 to 2017, they worked at Bradken Limited, starting as a Human Resources Manager and later becoming a Human Resources Business Partner. In 2018, they were promoted to the role of Director of Human Resources, North America, a position they held until 2020. Currently, they are the Director of Human Resources at Washington Gastroenterology.

Allison Adam received a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, and HR from Black Hills State University in 1999. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business at the University of Wyoming from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, in June 2007, Allison obtained their SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Finally, in December 2015, they acquired their SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.
