Laura Tompkins, MBA, SHRM-CP, currently serves as Human Resources Manager at Washburn Center For Children since January 2023 and has been a member of the Ripley Memorial Foundation Board of Advisors since November 2017. Previously, Laura held leadership positions at Joyce Preschool from May 2010 to November 2021, including Executive Director, Associate Director, and Development & Communications Director, focusing on anti-bias early education and family support services. Laura also worked as a freelance writer, editor, and communications strategist from October 2007 to August 2011, and held HR roles at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management and a BA in French and Francophone Studies from Carleton College.
