Olasunkanmi Habeeb Okunola is a seasoned researcher and specialist in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience with extensive experience across various prestigious institutions. Currently serving as a Visiting Scientist at the United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) and a Senior Research Officer at the Institute for Land and Community Resilience, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Olasunkanmi also contributes as a Guest Lecturer in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation at WASCAL and is engaged as a DAAD ClimapAfrica Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of the Witwatersrand. Additionally, Olasunkanmi has worked as a consultant on the Small Firm Diaries Project in informal settlements in Nigeria. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Disaster Risk Management and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, both obtained from Obafemi Awolowo University.
