Stuart Morrison began their work experience in 1997 as a MapInfo Trainer and Pre-Sales Engineer at Spatial Technologies in South Africa. Stuart then worked as a Software Development Manager and Enterprise Support Manager from 2000 to 2003. After that, they worked as a GIS Consultant and MapInfo at PBIRS/L'Oreal for a few months in 2003. From 2003 to 2010, they held various roles at Coldwater Creek, including Senior GIS Analyst/Developer, Business Intelligence Manager, Data Warehouse Manager, and GIS Manager. Following that, they worked as the Data Governance and Data Delivery - Applications Lead at SandRidge Energy from 2011 to 2016. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Data Warehouse Administrator at BP. Currently, they are working as a Data Engineer at Warwick Investment Group.

Stuart Morrison completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Zoology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they pursued an MBA and specialized in Executive Management from the University of Idaho, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Prior to their university education, Stuart attended St. Martin's School, where they completed their Matric from 1981 to 1992. It is worth noting that Stuart Morrison also enrolled in an Executive MBA program at the University of Idaho, but the start and end years are not provided.
