Rafal Tarasewicz, Ph.D., currently serves as Vice President and Regional Head of the Container Freight Station (CFS) business for Europe, as well as Global Head of CFS Operational Excellence at Vanguard Logistics Services since March 2024. Previously, Rafal held the position of Head of Operational Excellence Europe at GXO Logistics, Inc., and earlier served as Vice President and Global Head of CFS Operations Excellence at Vanguard. With extensive experience in operational excellence within the logistics sector, Rafal contributed significantly to DB Schenker in various senior roles, including European Head of Operational Excellence and Innovation. In addition to professional roles, Rafal is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the Housing and Construction Association in Żoliborz, Warsaw, and has been a lecturer at the Warsaw School of Economics since 2007, authoring over 20 publications and gaining recognition for a nominated book on supply chain performance. Rafal earned a Ph.D. in Economics and dual Master's degrees in Quantity Methods and Information Systems, and Marketing and Management from the Warsaw School of Economics.
