Katherine Wurst is an accomplished sports professional with extensive experience in athletic administration, coaching, and education. Currently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director at Warren Wilson College since August 2022, Katherine has also played a significant role with USA Rugby as a Coach Educator, Commentator, and Event Management Professional since February 2011. Previous positions include Head Coach for NCAA Women's Rugby at Queens University of Charlotte and Co-Founder & Director of Performance at First15 Sport Performance, LLC. Katherine has contributed to the academic field as an adjunct professor and visiting instructor at institutions such as Johnson & Wales University and the University of Southern Mississippi. Katherine holds a Doctor of Education in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, along with a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science in related fields from the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, respectively.
