Elaine Portanier is a seasoned compliance professional currently serving as a Senior Compliance Officer and Operations Compliance Manager at wamo since June 2021. Prior experience includes a long tenure at FIMBank plc from 1997 to November 2018, where Elaine held various roles including Vice President of Compliance, overseeing compliance, regulatory reporting, transaction monitoring, and customer due diligence. Elaine also served as Assistant Vice President in both Trade Services and Payments, managing teams and leading projects related to Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and the establishment of a Payments Division. Elaine’s foundational experience began as a Supervisor in Trade Services and a Clerk in Treasury. Elaine has pursued extensive professional education, earning multiple certifications from the International Chamber of Commerce and the London Institute of Banking & Finance, including in trade finance and documentary credits.
