Samantha Battersby

Senior Program Support Associate, Environment Program at Walton Family Foundation

Samantha Battersby currently serves as a Program Grants Manager at the Walton Family Foundation, where responsibilities include administering grants to improve water quality in the Mississippi River basin, collaborating with partners to empower communities, and leading sustainable practices for over 400 staff members. Prior to this, Samantha worked at the Alice Ferguson Foundation as a Program Coordinator, managing significant grant programs, implementing behavioral change initiatives in waste management, and coordinating extensive cleanup events. Additional experience includes animal care roles at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and Smithsonian National Zoological Park, among other positions in education, customer service, and conservation. Samantha is pursuing a Master of Arts in Biology at Miami University, holding bachelor's degrees in Environmental Studies and Environmental Science.
